The village of Sorèze

Our campsite is just a two-minute walk from the center of Sorèze. The village lies at the foot of the Montagne Noire forest and close to the Lauragais plain. Sorèze is at the heart of the Toulouse, Albi, Carcassonne triangle and close to : Castelnaudary and Castres.

The medieval village of Sorèze has many monuments and museums to visit:

  • The Abbey School and Dom Robert Museum,
  • Le Clocher Saint-Martin

We look forward to seeing you in a natural setting, at Lac de Saint-Ferréol. From nature walks to lazy beaches and water sports, Lac de Saint-Ferréol has something for everyone.

You can sit down at the picnic tables to share a moment of conviviality.

During the summer season, swimming is supervised by lifeguards.

Numerous water sports activities are on offer. And on Lac de Saint-Ferréol, you can line fish for pike-perch, perch and carp.

To the north

Castres is worth a visit, with its houses on the River Agout and its bishop’s palace garden.

Lautrec is a medieval village that will surprise you with its windmill, collegiate church of Saint-Rémy, ramparts and pink garlic.

You’ll discover the spectacular Mazamet footbridge on your way to the magnificent village of Haut Poul.

Discover Albi with its Cathedral Sainte-Cécile, the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, the Fashion Museum and theSainte-Sigolène archaeocrypt.

To the south

Visit Castelnaudary, where you’ll meet craftsmen working withclay, eat cassoulet and see the Grand Bassin port.

To the east

Reach the village of Revel, less than 6 kilometers from our campsite. You’ll love its Bastide Royale, covered market, corbelled houses, half-timbered facades and market.
